You don't need a theology degree. You just need a willing heart.

Become a Starfish Volunteer

Whether you have two hours a week or two weeks a year, there is a place for you at Starfish Orphan Ministry. Volunteering with us isn’t about checking a box — it’s about showing up for children who need someone in their corner.

Ways to Volunteer

Our work happens on two fronts — right here in western Kentucky, and in orphanages around the world. Whether it’s restocking a closet for a single mother in McCracken County or boarding a plane to El Salvador, the mission is the same: show up, love well, and leave things better than you found them.

Locally

Locally — Right here in Paducah. Help sort and stock donations at Kendra's Kloset, assist single-parent families, mentor at-risk youth in the community, or support our office and outreach events. No experience needed — just show up ready to work.

Globally

On a Mission Trip — Around the World Travel with a team of volunteers to serve in orphanages in places like Brazil and El Salvador. Our trips are open to individuals, couples, families, and church groups. We handle the logistics — you bring the love.

Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes — Support & Administration Not everyone is called to be on the front lines — and that's okay. We need people who can help with communications, fundraising, event planning, and more. Your skills matter here too.

We won’t throw you in the deep end alone. Every volunteer is welcomed, oriented, and connected with our team before they begin. We want you to feel equipped, not overwhelmed.
